Orientation programmes for newly enrolled volunteers play a very significant role in helping the volunteers interpret the scheme in its correct perspective. A series of orientation meetings were organised to orient the volunteers to NSS. These programmes consisted the following points:-

• Philosophy of NSS
• Objective of NSS
• Symbol of NSS
• Motto of NSS
• Badge of NSS
• Regular Activities Projects
• Special Camping Programme
• Formation of group/projects
• Role of NSS volunteers

All these meetings were organised centrally at NSS Campus. On each day of meeting exhibition on activities was also organised. Above mentioned topics were explained with the help of OHP,DLP followed by Video Show on NSS activities. Using various audio-visual aids the orientation meetings were made interesting to the volunteers.
