Prof. Yogesh Singh has been a Professor in the University School of Information Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi prior to his present assignment of Vice-Chancellor, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. He is also the Chairman of the Central Regional Committee, All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE), Bhopal covering areas like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. Further, he is also the Member of the General Council of National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC). He was In-charge Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (June-July 2004 and June-July 2005). He has also served as Dean, University School of Engineering & Technology and University School of Information Technology ( 2001-2006), Proctor ( 2001-2006), Controller of Examinations ( 2006-2011), Director Student’s Welfare ( 2006-2009) and Chief Warden ( 2001-2009) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Prof Singh has a sustained track record of quality teaching, innovation and excellent research contributions in the field of Software Engineering. He has also received ’’Best Researcher Award’’ in Engineering and Technology’’ from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. He has been listed as third best amongst the most productive Indian Authors for participating in Software Engineering Research reported in ’’Indian Computer Science Research output during 1999-2008 : Qualitative Analysis’’ Journal of Library & Information Technology, Nov 2010. Test Magazine, United Kingdom has published his photograph on cover page alongwith cover story ’’India Testing Power house : Optimising Web Testing Performance’’, in September 2010. He has to his credit 260 publications in reputed National / International Journals and Conferences with ’h’ index of 16 as reported by Google Scholar. He has also produced 20 Ph.D. scholars. He is an author of a book on ’’Software Testing’’ which is published by Cambridge University Press, England and also co-authors of books on Software Engineering published by New Age International Delhi and on ‘Object oriented software engineering’ published by PHI Learning, Delhi. He received his M.Tech. and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) degrees from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
He has visited foreign Universities like University of Portland, University of California at Berkley, Princeton University at New Jersey, USA , Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut , Colambia University, New York, New York State University and Stony Brook University.
