Prof. Yogesh Singh is a dedicated teacher and active researcher in the field of Software Engineering. He has been listed as third best amongst the most productive Indian Authors for participating in Software Engineering Research reported in research paper entitled ’’Indian Computer Science Research output during 1999-2008 : Qualitative Analysis’’ Journal of Library & Information Technology, Nov 2010. He has also received ’’Best Researcher Award in Engineering and Technology’’ from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi in 2010. Test Magazine, United Kingdom has published his photograph on cover page alongwith cover story ’’India Testing Power house : Optimising Webtesting Performance’’, in September 2010. As a teacher and researcher, he has a sustained track record of quality teaching, innovation and excellent research contributions. He has to his credit 260 publications in reputed National / International Journals and Conferences and has also produced 18 Ph.D. scholars. He is an author of a book on ’’Software Testing’’ which is published by Cambridge University Press, England and also co-author of a book on Software Engineering published by New Age International Delhi. He has travelled widely participating in various National and International seminars, conferences and workshops.
Prof. Yogesh Singh has been a Professor in the University School of Information Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. He has been Vice-Chancellor ( In-charge) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi ( June-July 2004 and June-July 2005). He has also been the founder Head (1999-2001) and Dean (2001-2006) of University School of Information Technology. He has also served as Dean, University School of Engineering & Technology (2001-2006), Proctor (2001-2006), Controller of Examinations ( 2006-2011), Director Student’s Welfare (2006-2009) and Chief Warden (2001-2009). Prior to this, he was Founder Chairman (1996-1999), Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, Haryana. He received his M.Tech. and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) degrees from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana. He has been a member of IT-Task force and a member of its Core-group on E-Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and also the member of IT Task force of AICTE. He was a Member of Review Committee for Direct Central Assistance Schemes Project, MHRD, Govt. of India and Member of various committees constituted by AICTE, UGC and MHRD. He has visited foreign Universities like University of Portland, University of California at Berkley, University of California at San Deigo, Princeton University at New Jersey, USA. He is a Fellow of IETE and Member of IEEE.
