Reasons Why I Like MSU

It has a unitary character, a vast unit with rich diversity. It is the only university having this character in State University, across the country.
It has a unique feature and tradition of giving a member of the royal family as the chancellor of the University , as a recognition of the visionary efforts of the Maharaja in sowing the seeds of higher education and creating institutions of higher learning which ultimately grew into a university.
The medium of instruction for the processes of teaching, learning and research is the international language, English. This is the only state university in Gujarat with medium of instruction English in all faculties.
It has, by choice, kept itself away from giving affiliations to the colleges, institutions around its periphery. This is the only state university in Gujarat, which does not have any affiliated college.
While it has global outlook and outreach, it stands on a local pedestal catering to the societal needs of the region.
Offers spectrum of courses at all levels from Kinder Garten to Ph.D.
It is the only university in Gujarat having a cosmopolitan culture.
It has largest number of students and teaching and non-teaching staff among the State and possibly central University with unitary characteristics in the country.
There are sizable number of foreign students.
It has a large campus, rich infrastructure and large number of buildings associated with rich heritage of the earst while Baroda State.
