Shri Sayaji Pratishthan:
A need was felt to start an activity to work on Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad-III to educate the present generation. Keeping this in mind the Sayaji Pratishthan was established in September 2007 as a Study and research Centre with the following objectives:
- To provide social cultural and historical research on and about Maharaja Sayajirao-III
- To provide a platform for creative and critical dialogue through writings, exhibitions, conferences, seminars and workshops on works of Maharaja Sayajirao.
- To bring out relevant publications on Maharaja in English, Hindi and Gujarati to educate the present generation.
Although it was established in 2007, it started functioning from October 2015. It is working under the guidance of an Advisory Committee consisting of Shrimant Rajamata Shubhanginiraje Gaekwad, the Chancellor of the University and other eight persons having in depth knowledge about the life and work of Maharaja. Dr. Bansidhar Sharma, former Reader in Hindi Dept. of our University is the coordinator of the Pratishthan.
