UGC Women Studies Research Centre (UGC):

The Women’s Studies Research Center (WSRC) at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was established in the year 1990 and is the first such center in the Western region of India. WSRC acts as a link between academicians, activists, government functionaries and NGO personnel and media persons to mainstream women’s and gender issues in the society. The WSRC is an integral part of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

The primary objective of WSRC is to open up windows to gender equality and equity. In order to develop, promote and disseminate knowledge about women’s issues in the society, the Women’s Studies Research Center undertakes research and documentation, conducts short term teaching programs and organizes seminars, workshops and conferences.
