Education: Born on 21.3.1942 at Baroda. Obtained Degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara in the year 1966.

Biography: Enrolled as an Advocate on 18.3.1967, and started practice at Baroda. Conducted various Civil and Criminal Matters. Appointed directly from the bar as Assistant Judge on 28.7.1978 and posted at Jamnagar. Promoted as Joint District Judge on 29.1.1979 at Jamnagar, and joined as Judge, City Civil Court, Ahmedabad on 10.8.1979. Also worked as Special Officer (Vigilance), High Court of Gujarat. Took over as Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Ahmedabad on 22.11.1990. As a judicial officer rendered several decisions on Civil and Criminal sides including Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act, 1987. Elevated to the Bench of Gujarat High Court as Additional Judge on 12.10.1994. Transferred to Delhi High Court on 1.11.1994, and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 25.9.1995. Transferred to Gujarat High Court on 4.6.2001. Retired on 20.3.2004.
