The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda came into existence as Residential University with Maharaja Pratapsinhrao Gaekwad as its First Chancellor. He further established a philanthropic trust namely Sir Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee & Memorial Trust and handed over properties and possession to the trust which has been a part of University Senate Composition since then. |
