It incorporates a range of specialized subjects covering military history, war, national security dynamics, international relations, peace and conflict studies, international terrorism, defence economics, military psychology/sociology and other aspects related to the military and issues of national security. A special feature of the programme is that it strives to equip its students with a comprehensive theoretical understanding of various aspects of Indian defence and national security systems, ng with other corresponding trends in world history.
